Beginning quilting
Classes start on Jan. 21 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at
Midway Park. Patterns taught will be Nine Patch, Ohio
Star, Log Cabin, Dresden Plate and Georgia State

Senior Citizen Activities
Enjoy bingo, games, crafts, covered dish luncheons
and day trips. Group meets first and third Tuesday of the
month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Midway Park. Day
trips schedules are: Jan. 19, Fembank Museum; Feb. 16,
Tour Os Governor’s Mansion; March 23, Cherry

Creative Clay classes
...for youth and adults will be taught at Midway Park.
Techniques being taught will be wheel, slab, coil, hand
built, carving and glazing. There will be two classes for

Low-impact aerobics
The Cumming Recreation and Parks Department
has expanded its aerobics class to include evening
classes as well as morning classes.
Come join the fun on Mondays and Wednesdays,
from 5:45-6:45 p.m at the Cumming Recreation and
Parks Department office building. This adult class
will cost S2O per four-week session. The instructor
will be Lisa Ingram Bennett.

SCHOOL EVENTS
Driver’s Education
...will be taught at Piedmont
Learning Center beginning in
January. There will be three sessions
offered Jan. 23-Feb. 7, March 13-28
and April 17-May 2. Each session is
composed of 30 hours of classroom
instruction and six hours of driving
time. All courses will be taught on
Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and
Sundays from 1:30-5:30 p.m.
Courses are also planned for the
summer. The cost is $277.75.
