Students interacted with professionals in the business
world as well as with customers within the communi
ty-
After concluding the research, the students prepared
a marketing research portfolio and presented their
findings to business owners/managers who allowed
them to conduct the research at their place of busi
ness. These businesses included: Merle Norman -
Cumming, El Toro - Cumming, Huddle House -
Cumming, Waffle House - Cumming, Pizza Hut -
Cumming, Applebee’s - Alpharetta, In ‘N Out Photo
- Cumming, Main Street Interiors - Cumming, CiCi’s
Pizza - Cumming, and 5,7,9 - Alpharetta
The research findings concentrated on areas such
as customer awareness through advertising, customer
satisfaction and other areas designed to provide sug
gestions for increasing business.
The SFHS Marketing Education students, along
with Marketing teacher Debra Kirby would like to
thank the businesses for their support in this hands-on
learning experience. Kirby said she is pleased with
the quality of the projects and is excited that one of
the businesses has already taken steps in changing
their advertising to include ideas which were recom
mended by students conducting the research.
