Saturdays at DeVry's Alpharetta

‘Summer Scholars’ sought
DeVry Institute of Technology
is currently offering an opportu
nity for local rising high school
juniors and seniors to enroll in
one of two college-level tech
nology courses at its Alpharetta
campus with no tuition costs.
“DeVry's Summer Scholars
Program encourages outstand
ing young people to build a
foundation of technology
knowledge, which is so critical
in today's high-tech world.” said
Dr. Lucille A. Phillip, president
of DeVry/Georgia. “These
scholarships recognize and
encourage superior academic
achievement in our local high
schools.”
Qualified students may select
from one of two courses: com
puter applications for business
or introduction to telecommuni
cations technology. Each accel-
erated course lasts three weeks
and is taken during the summer,
beginning on June 21. Upon
successful completion, students
earn transferable college credit,
and course work may count
toward high school graduation.
The deadline to receive com
pleted applications is May 1.
DeVry Institute of Technology
in Alpharetta offers bachelor's
degree programs in computer
information systems, business
administration with a concentra
tion in business information
systems, electronics engineering
technology, telecommunications
management, accounting and
technical management, as well
as an associate degree program
in electronics.
