have mental and physical handi
caps or other handicapping condi

ticipation in our other camps.
Campers will make crafts, have
water activities, play games and
do many other stimulating, senso
ry-fi!led activities. Instructor Lisa
Ingram Bennett has a master of
education degree in mental retar
dation, behavior disorders, and
interrelated special education and
has taught eighteen years. She is
presently teaching at lanier
Middle School in Buford.
The camp will be June 26-29,
July 24-27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.,
Monday through Thursday at the
Cumming Recreation Department,
lower level. The cost is S6O,
which includes a camp t-shirt, arts
and crafts supplies, and a camp
bag.
Golf tourney for Family
Center
... The Cumming/Forsyth
County Council on Youth is plan
ning a charity golf tournament to
raise money for the renovation
and maintenance of its newly
acquired family center, housed in
the former Baptist North Hospital
on Samaritan Drive in Cumming.
The tournament will be Thursday,
July 13, at the Chestatee Golf and
Country Club. The tournament is
currently seeking sponsors and
many levels of sponsorship are
available. The cost of participa
tion is $l5O per player —a tax
deductible donation. The Council
on Youth is Forsyth County’s

Indian Guides
