Home heating help avail
able
... for the low income, eld
erly and disabled. Low
income homebound, particu
larly elderly and disabled peo
ple, can apply for help paying
their home heating bills. The
Georgia Department of
Human Resources will help
pay heating costs for gas, elec
tricity, wood, coal or kerosene.
One-time payments will be
made primarily by checks
issued to home energy suppli
ers on behalf of eligible
households. Eligibility for the
program is based on the
income of all members of the
household. All eligible house
holds must be responsible for
their home heating costs.

be a paycheck stub, public
assistance check or unemploy
ment check. Applicants must
also supply a social security
number for each person in the
household and a most recent
home heating bill or documen
tation. Depending on avail
ability of funds, other house

lar program which will open
