Influenza vaccine
... The Forsyth County
Health Department has
received a limited number of
adult flu shots from the
Georgia Division of Public
Health. The adult influenza
vaccine is for persons for
years of age and up, and will
be given on a first-come, first
served basis. Phone calls to
reserve the vaccine will not be
taken.
American Red Cross
... The Northeast Georgia
Chapter will offer the follow
ing classes:
• Instructor class this
24-hour class in First
Aid/CPR/AED will be from 9
a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 9, 10
and 12. Class size is limited so
register early.
• Defensive Driving
will be Feb. 9 and 10 from
6:30-9:30 p.m. This class is
sanctioned by the National
Safety Council and taught by
a certified instructor.
Completion of the course
could reduce auto insurance
rates for participants. The cost
is S4O. Preregistration is
required.
• Pet First Aid will be
Thursday, Feb. 12, from 5:30-
9:30 p.m. The cost is S3O.
Class size is limited.
• Babysitter’s Training
will be Saturday, Feb. 14,
from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The
cost is $39.

Training

chapter of the American Red
Cross will be offering an
adult, child and infant CPR
with first aid course on
Saturday, Feb. 24 in Pickens
County.
This course is designed to
prepare participants to cope
with emergencies at home or
in the workplace. Students
will learn how to handle respi
ratory emergencies, including
Adult, Child and Infant CPR,
rescue breathing, choking and
First Aid training.
Individuals are certified for
one year in CPR and three in
First Aid.
Cost of this course is ssl
per person and includes all
materials, instruction and cer
tification by the Red Cross.
