Family Program in conjunc
tion with St. Columba’s
Episcopal Church of Johns
Creek. The program is open to
grades 4-5 Cub Scouts and
Junior Girl Scouts wishing to
earn their God and Family
medal. The program high
lights the value of a strong
family bond and is designed to
strengthen the child’s relation
ship with his or her family in
the context of Christianity.
Parents are encouraged to join
their children as mentors for
this program. You do not need
to be a member of St.
Columba's to attend the God
and Family program as it is a
non-denominational study
designed for Anglicans and
Protestants.
The BSA God and Family
program will begin Jan. 28
and end with the presentation
of the God and Family medal
on Sunday. March 21.
Meetings will be Wednesdays
from J-6 p.m., with the excep
tion of Ash Wednesday.

Abba House
... is a Christian church
with a ministry for women
with addiction or mental
health problems. The women
receiving ministry can bring
their young children after an
orientation period to live and
heal with them.
AH is one of the few pro
grams where children can join
their mothers as they are
receiving ministry for addic
tion.
Located on the border of
Dawson and Forsyth counties,
AH is a safe home many
women have never had. Local
churches and companies that
partner with AH will have col
lection days where individuals
will bring food, clothing, baby
items and furniture to help
support the ministries. Local
churches will provide vouch
ers that can be redeemed at
Fabulous Finds & Treasures, a
new store Abba House has
opened, at 7020 Dahlonega
Hwy. in Silver City. Needed
items are food, clothing, baby
clothing, baby beds, baby
strollers, most other baby
items, sofas, dressers, chairs,
tables and other furniture.
