Adult Learning Center

... The Adult Learning
Center at Lanier Technical
College is a place where people
can come for assistance in sev
eral areas preparing for the
GED, learning basic skills in
English and math, or taking
English as a Second Language.
All 11 instructors have bache- ’
lor’s or graduate degrees. The
GED program has classes that
are open entry, open exit, to
meet the needs of every stu
dent’s schedule. The ESL pro
gram consists of 14 classes
scheduled during the morning,
afternoon, and evening. These i
are offered at four locations in >
Forsyth County. All classes are
free. ,
The centers open at 9 a.m. '
Monday-Friday for day stu
dents and are open until 8 p.m.
for evening instruction.
Practice GED tests are offered
in writing, social studies, sci
ence, reading and math.
Students who obtain their
GED are sent a voucher for
SSOO that can be used for
tuition at Lanier Tech and
other schools.
