Kid Komedy

Stand-up Comedy After
School Program for children
ages 8-12 at Humpus Bumpus
Books. 703 Atlanta Rd. in
Cumming. The program will
meet Mondays starting March
22, from 4-5:30 p.m. and will
end with a "Graduation Show”
(May 10 at 5 p.m.) featuring
family friendly stand-up come
dy performed and written by
the students. The course fee is
SI2O and includes the Kid
Komedy "Funbook" and a T
shirt.
Children leam joke writing,
delivery, timing and stage
presence though written exer
cises. creative workouts and
coaching. Kid Komedy pro
motes communication, coping
skills and self-confidence
through comedy training.

public to attend "A Story Hour
for Children" as part of the
recognition of and celebration
of literacy. Church members
are volunteering their time as
part of their “One Great Day
of Service" to the community

hours will be for children ages
4-8. The sessions will be at 10-
11 a.m. and 11 to noon in

A ARP Safe Driving Class

Deer Creek Shores
Presbyterian Church.
Attendance for both days is
required to receive the certifi
cate. Although the course
emphasizes information and
skills for people 50 years and
older, it is helpful for drivers
of all ages. There are no tests.
To keep the auto insurance dis
count in effect, you must take
the course every three years.

Road Race
... The Windermere third
annual 5K Road Race will be
Saturday, April 17, at 8 a.m.
with a one mile Fun Run start
ing at 7:30 a.m. Both races
will begin at the Windermere
Lodge off of Windermere
Parkway in Cumming. The
course will lead runners
through the rolling hills of the
community, with scenic views
of the Davis Love 111-designed
golf course. Proceeds from
the race will be donated to
Daves Creek Elementary
School in support of a school
fundraiser benefiting Relay
For Life. A 24-hour, communi
ty-based event. Relay For Life
was designed to celebrate sur
vivorship and raise money for
the American Cancer Society.

race-day registration will
begin at 6:30 a.m. Entry fees
for both races are as follows:
