Cub Scouts and Junior Girl

God and Family medal. The
program highlights the value
of a strong family bond and is
designed to strengthen the
child's relationship with his or
her family in the context of
Christianity. Parents are
encouraged to join their chil
dren as mentors for this pro
gram. You do not need to be a
member of St. Columba's to
attend the God and Family
program as it is a non-denomi
national study designed for
Anglicans and Protestants.
Meetings will be
Wednesdays from 5-6 p.m.,
w ith the exception of Ash
Wednesday. Registration is

Prevention program
... Each year, about 12,000
people in the United States
will become paralyzed by
spinal cord injuries, and
another 500,000 will acquire
a brain injury. Fifty percent of
these injuries will happen to
young people between the
ages of 15 and 24.
By working with area mid
dle and high schools, a young
person with a spinal cord
injury educates students on
avoiding violence and pro
moting safety in driving, div
ing, hunting, bicycle riding to
reduce the number of spinal
cord and brain injuries.
