Mr. Aiken retired from Eastern Airlines where he was an airline pilot for more than 39 years. He later became president of the Retired Eastern Pilots Association and stayed active for many years. Survivors include wife. Mrs. Jeanne Aiken of Cumming; daughter and son in-law. Kellie Aiken and Mark Ward of Sugar Hill; sons and daughters-in-law, Bennet Jr. and Gail Aiken of Pender grass. Donald and Jackie Aiken of Duluth. David and Sally Aiken of Memphis. Tenn., Johnny and Nuala Aiken of Grayson; brother, Richard and Marion Aiken of Elizabeth City, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; five nieces; one nephew. Funeral services were Tuesday, March 23. at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Martin officiating. Flanigan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrange ments. Mrs Heard was a member of Hightower Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband. John Heard. Forsyth Counts News March 24, 2004 ACTIVIST from A mail document copies to the ethics activist, attorney Ken Jarrard has said Anderson may review the documents at their office at any time at no charge. The fee addressed in the letter includ ed a $220 charge for previous work to provide county records. Jarrard said fees to compensate for employees' time were waived. The proposed fee also included a SIOO charge for the removal and replacement of records at an off-site private facility on Pilgrim Mill Road. Jarrard has said those records will not be provided until the $ 1 (X) is paid because that money should not come from county taxpayers. According to county records, com bined fees totaling more than $20,000 from various county departments was paid to the record storage center last year the majority for rental costs.
