Road Race
... the 12th annual
Challenge 5K Run and One
Mile Fun Walk/Run will be
Saturday. March 27. at the
Gainesville College in
Oakwood.
On-site registration will
begin at 1 p.m. The one mile
fun race will begin at 2 p.m..
and the 5K Challenge w ill
start at 2:30 p.m. The pre-reg
istration fee is SIS. and the
race day registration fee is
SIB. Pre-registration forms
may be obtained at www.chal
lengedchild.org.
All participants will
receive a T-shirt, free fluids
and food. All finishers of the
one mile fun race will receive
a ribbon.
In the 5K Challenge,
plaques will be awarded to the
top three males and females in
each of 14 age categories.
Additionally, plaques will be
awarded for top three
male/female best time and
overall male/female master.
This event is sponsored by

ceeds will benefit Challenged
Child and Friends, a non-prof

public to attend "A Story Hour
for Children" as part of the
recognition of and celebration
of literacy. Church members
are volunteering their time as
part of their "One Great Day
of Service" to the community
on Saturday. March 27. Story
hours will be for children ages
4-8. The sessions will be at
10-11 a.m. and 11 to noon in
rooms 18 and 19 at the
