Liberty Middle School PTA President Becky Martin and Vice President Kelly Esbeck accepted a first place District Award for their school's work in education enrichment, health and youth services, newsletter and parental involvement. Matt Elementary's PTA President Mary Helen Smithers accepted a special recognition with an Outstanding Arts Program Award for the school’s drama program. District 13 and Council Secretary Jodie Barger received special recognition with an Honorary PTA Lifetime Membership Award in appreciation for her work at the district level.
