There are more than 1,800 chapters in seven countries, and they are inviting you to visit the chap ter here. The club offers a variety of weekly activities for stay-at-home mothers and their children. A ARP Driver Safety pro gram ... classes will be at the Northside Hospital Forsyth Medical Center Professional Building located in Cumming at 1200 Northside Forsyth Dr. The dates are Wednesday, April 14, and Thursday. April 15, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The course is for mature driv ers; it provides many ideas on how to avoid accident situa tions and how to enjoy safer driving. Class participants are required to attend both class days to receive credit for the course which entitles the par ticipants to a discount on their auto insurance premium. Holly Walquist ... director of Marietta’s Tree Keepers, a successful volunteer run program which plants, preserves, and protects trees, will be at the Sawnee Cultural Arts Center at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 15. The Forsyth County Master Gardeners and the Cumming Garden Club will have its Spring Plant Sale dur ing the County Yard Sale at the Cumming Fairgrounds on April 17, from 8 a.m. to noon or until all plants are sold. The plants are grown locally by members of each organization and include perennials, herbs, ground covers and shrubs. Road Race ... The Windermere third annual 5K Road Race will be Saturday, April 17, at 8 a.m. with a one mile Fun Run start ing at 7:30 a.m. Both races will begin at the Windermere Lodge off of Windermere Parkway in Cumming. The course will lead runners through the rolling hills of the community, with scenic views of the Davis Love 111-designed golf course. Proceeds from the race will be donated to Daves Creek Elementary School in support of a school fundraiser benefiting Relay For Life. A 24-hour, community-based event, Relay For Life was designed to celebrate survivor ship and raise money for the American Cancer Society.
