Red Hats
The Polo Fields chapter of the Red Hat Society consists of a group of 35 ladies who
are over the age of 50 and celebrate that milestone by donning festive red millinery
complimented by purple attire.

Honored
Forsyth County Clerk of Courts Douglas Sorrells, right, accepts an award Friday hon
oring him as the 9th Judicial Administrative District Clerk of the Year from Ed Tucker,
Clerk of Courts for Lumpkin County. Sorrells was elected by his peers for the award
because of his several years of dedication as chairman of the 9th District Clerks. “I
appreciate that. I know all of you deserve that award,” Sorrells said to an audience of
clerks and his 30-member staff.
