Charity Bike Ride ... hosted by the Bank of North Georgia to benefit the Georgia Cancer Coalition will be Saturday, April 17, at 8 a.m. The course length will be approximately 12 miles. The start and finish will take place at the Bank of North Georgia Alpharetta, 8025 Westside Pkwy, (comer of Haynes Bridge Road and Westside Parkway). All participants will be asked to make a minimum $25 tax-deductible donation made payable to the Georgia Cancer Coalition. Participants will receive an event T-shirt and water bottle. If you do not have a bike. Cycleworks and TREK will have a few bicy cles available for use during the event on a first come, first service basis for preregistered riders. The Forsyth County Master Gardeners and the Cumming Garden Club will have its Spring Plant Sale dur ing the County Yard Sale at the Cumming Fairgrounds on April 17, from 8 a.m. to noon or until all plants are sold. The plants are grown locally by members of each organization and include perennials, herbs, ground covers and shrubs. Road Race ... The Windermere third annual 5K Road Race will be Saturday, April 17, at 8 a.m. with a one mile Fun Run start ing at 7:30 a.m. Both races will begin at the Windermere Lodge off of Windermere Parkway in Cumming. The course will lead runners through the rolling hills of the community, with scenic views of the Davis Love 111-designed golf course. Proceeds from the race will be donated to Daves Creek Elementary School in support of a school fundraiser benefiting Relay For Life. A 24-hour, community-based event. Relay For Life was designed to celebrate survivor ship and raise money for the American Cancer Society.
