bers. Though the material is
designed primarily for drivers
age 50 and over, younger driv
ers may attend. It provides
many ideas on how to avoid
accidents, drive safely and
update the motor vehicle laws.
Participants who complete the
eight hours of instruction are
eligible for a discount on their
automobile insurance premi
um. The course must be
renewed every three years. For

Norman's Landing

al "Tax Relief Tuesday " on
Tuesday. April 27, at the
Chestatee Golf Club in
Dawsonville. The entry fee for
the event is $275 per golfer
and corporate sponsorships
are available for $1.200. For
the past eight years Norman's
Landins has raised more than
$ 190,000 for The United Way
of Forsyth County. Lunch and
dinner will be provided by
Norman’s Landing. Chestatee
Ford provides the "Hole-ln-
One" car. and there are great
prizes for the winners as well
as many items available at the
silent auction. Proceeds will
benefit The United Way of
Forsyth County.
The Republican Women
of Forsyth County

Samplings," a wine tasting
event on Saturday. May 1. at 7
p.m. at the Polo Golf and
Country Club. Tickets are $25
per person and will include a
wide variety of wines for sam

Walk will be May 6 from 10
a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning
at the Mount Pisgah United
Methodist Church, 2850 Old
Alabama Rd., Alpharetta, at
the sanctuary/north Campus.
Walk the Newtown/Alpharetta
• Community. Prayers for
America, unity of churches,
schools, assisted living, Red
Cross, the government, and
many other national organiza
tions.
The walk is approximately
one mile. There will be a short
prayer service in the sanctuary
to begin the walk. Only chil
dren that are young enough
for strollers are allowed on the
walk. We will have the walk
rain or shine. If it is raining,
we will have the event inside
the gathering area near the
sanctuary. Please feel free to
invite anyone that may be
interested in this walk. All
churches are invited. We wel
come you to dress comfort
ably and use patriotic attire.
