No stranger to harmony,
the six-piece band evokes

Emerson Drive.

In the gimmick filled pop

name for himself with simple
pure talent.
He first rose to national
acclaim when he appeared in
two episodes of Ally Mcßeal
in 2001. which also spot-

He has since released two
albums and a live DVD.
As likely to sing in Italian

twine a variety of styles dur
ing his performance.
He sings classic and
opera flawlessly, but wait
until you hear him rock a lit
tle.
The Crash Test Dummies
with lead singer Brad Roberts
are a baritone of a different
color and will be playing a
Smith’s Olde Bar tomorrow
night.
The band has just released
a new CD "Puss ‘n’ Boots"
and their playful style hasn’t
changed.
The band brought
“MMM, MMM. MMM,
MMM” to the national con
sciousness and "The Ghosts
that Haunt Me Now" and
“God Shuffled His Feet” are
two of my favorite albums of
all time, which stand up to
never ending repeat listen
ing.
Roberts’ voice just capti
vates me and his oddly deep
baritone pop is something that
has to be heard live.
Weird Al Yankovic is the
ultimate in comedic parody
and he brings his parodies to
life at the Tabernacle on
Thursday.
His live shows are as infa
mous as his lyrics.
His newest CD "Poodle
Hat" parodies everyone from
Eminem to Billy Joel, and of
course includes the obligato
ry polka.
Hot off the presses is his
new DVD "The Ultimate
Video Collection," which
includes 24 of his greatest
video hits and on-screen
lyrics so you don’t miss a
word.
Gwar is on the other end
of the spectrum.
This thrash punk outfit has
been offending rock lovers
everywhere with their twisted
metal.
They dress up in out
landish costumes and squirt
the crowd with water pistols
filled with red Kool-Aid.
They are an experience
that has to be seen to be
believed and can only be had
at the Masquerade this
Friday.
However, be warned, Gwar
is not for the faint of heart or
easily offended.
John Ondrasik, aka Five
for Fighting, will be playing

His last CD "America
Town” spawning several hits
including "Superman (It’s
Not Easy)” brought him to
the forefront of the emo rock
movement.
His folksy rock blends a
variety of styles into his guitar
and seeing them served up live
is always a treat.
“Clifford the Big Red
Dog: Live!” will have your
little ones in puppy heaven as
the PBS favorite comes to life
on stage at the Fox this week
end.
Stopping at Atlanta early
in its two year run, Clifford
Live brings the characters
from Birdwell Island to life,
including one big red dog
that your kids are sure to
love.
Clifford is on fire, with
two shows on PBS, many
new DVDs including his
puppy adventures “Clifford’s
Puppy Days,” whicha are also
available on DVD, and
"Clifford’s Really Big
Movie,” which opened last
February; they will love the
live story as Clifford and
friends put on their very own
play.
The show features lots of
singing and dancing and is
sure to be a big red hit.
