EVENTS from 7A AARP Driver Safety pro gram ... a one-day class will be offered Saturday, April 24. from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Northside Hospital Forsyth. 4100 Northside Medical Center Dr. in Cumming. The refresher course is open to AARP and non-AARP mem bers. Though the material is designed primarily for drivers age 50 and over, younger driv ers may attend. It provides many ideas on how to avoid accidents, drive safely and update the motor vehicle laws. Participants who complete the eight hours of instruction are eligible for a discount on their automobile insurance premi um. The course must be renewed every three years. North Georgia will be treated to a special evening of musical theater on May 1 when the Dawson Community Chorale and the NGCSU Madrigal Singers will present their spring con cert “A Night on Broadway.” The concert will feature selec tions from shows such as “Show Boat," “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Phantom of the Opera," “Les Miserables,” and many other popular Broadway musicals. Walk the Newtown/Alpharetta Community. Prayers for America, unity of churches, schools, assisted living, Red Cross, the government, and many other national organiza tions. The walk is approximately one mile. There will be a short prayer service in the sanctuary to begin the walk. Only chil dren that are young enough for strollers are allowed on the walk.
