A native of Pittsfield, Mass., Mrs. Ackley had resided in Dawsonville for the past 20 years, moving here from Albuquerque, N.M. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and a member of Deer Creek Shores Presbyterian Church. Survivors include sons, Douglas Ackley of Peru, Mass., Bruce Ackley of Roswell; daughters. Coralie Ingraham of Dalton. Mass.. Maxine Tatrow of Dalton, Mass., Wendy Fox of Woodstock. Robin Marauszwski of Dawsonville; 17 grandchil dren; 12 great-grandchildren. Memorial services are Monday. April 26, at 7 p in. at Deer Creek Shores Presbyterian Church with the Revs. James H. Kelso and John Tarrant officiat ing. Mr. Avery was the son of the late Chester A. and Ellen Avery and was a retired iron worker. He has served in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include sons. Tim Avery of Cumming. Ricky Avery of Glenwood; sis ters. Betty VETERAN Couey. Joan Westbrook, both of Glenwood; grandson. Tobey Avery. Forsvth Counts News April 25, 2004 Joyce Mitchell Baker Mrs. Joyce Mitchell Baker. 74, of Rome, formerly of Adairsville, died Wednesday, April 21.2004. She was a mem ber of Adairsville Baptist Church. She retired after 30 years of service from the med ical practice of Doctors Gray Dickinson, and Rutledge in Rome. She was preceded in death by her husband. Paul E. Baker; brothers. Richard and albert Mitchell: and sister. Edna Mitchell Dyer. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Anita Baker of Rome, John and Candy Baker of Cumming, and Michael and Melanie Baker of Rome; one brother. Horton Mitchell of Adairsville; X grand children; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews also sur vive. Funeral services were Saturday at Adairsville Baptist Church with the Revs. Tai Roberts, Mark Sargent and Allen Fuller officiating. Interment followed in Eastview Cemetery. Forsy th County News April 25, 2004 Mary Lou (Myrt) Donaldson Miss Mary Lou (Myrt) Donaldson, 92, of Cumming, died Wednesday. April 21. 2004. Miss Donaldson had been a longtime resident of Chestnut Ridge Nursing Center. Survivors include several nieces, nephews and other rela tives. Mrs. Hawkins was a native and life long resident of Forsyth County and was an active member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was pre ceded in death by her husband, Sam Hawkins; sister, Claudine Loggins; brothers, W.J. (Bud) Hood and Jack Hood. Survivors include sisters, Wanda Cowart of Canton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat and Nellie Hood of Cumming, Arnold and Jean Hood of Dawsonville; a number of nieces, nephews and other rel atives also survive. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Spires, and her parents, Taz and Dorris Pair. Survivors include her hus band of 41 years, Clois Spires; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Michele Spires of Concord; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doyle and JoAnn Pair of Columbus, Henry and Carolyn Pair of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law. Winnie and Eugene Allen of Conyers; grandchildren, Victoria, Ronnie, Brianna and Danielle. Funeral services will be con ducted Sunday. Grace was a registered nurse and worked in pediatrics in Columbus, Ohio, before moving to Georgia in 1947. She returned to nursing many years later and worked at the director of nursing at Elks Aidmore Hospital before retiring. She was preceded in death by her husband. George; daugh ter. Bonnie ; sons. Jack and Jay. Survivors include son. Bob and his wife Pat of Cumming; nine grandchildren; four great-grand children; A memorial senice will be Monday, April 26, at 2 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil Connell officiating.
