Northside Hospital
... is offering a new class
aimed at educating people
about the growing risk of pre¬
diabetes — a condition that
occurs when a person’s fasting
blood sugar is higher than nor¬
mal, but not high enough to be
considered diabetes. As
November is National
Diabetes Awareness Month,
the Northside Hospital
Diabetes Education Program
has created a special pre-dia¬
betes class taught by experi¬
enced professionals that will
educate and counsel individu¬
als at high risk for developing
the condition.
The class includes an initial
group class and individual fol¬
low-up visits as needed with a
diabetes educator/Registered
Dietitian.

Program

planned prografn of activities
is provided for those suffering
from Alzheimer’s and other
forms of dementia or related
neurological conditions.

and crafts, and light exercise.
