The Forsyth County Public Library (FCPL)
Board of Trustees requests proposals for pro¬
fessional microfilming and digitization ser¬
vices for a Preservation Project of the Forsyth
County News.
FCPL will break the project into five phases,
based on funding considerations. Phase 1 is
to microfilm the print issues from January
2001 to the present, using existing funds.
Phases 2, 3 and 4 involve digitization, index¬
ing, and remote hosting and will be paid for
by funds to be applied for. Phase 5 Is to con¬
tinue microfilming and digitizing papers as
they are issued, keeping the project current.
Respondents must indicate intent to respond
by Friday. October 14, 2005 to allow time to
receive and process samples.
Proposals will be received until 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at FCPL,
585 Dahlonega Road, Cumming, GA 30040.
Any proposal received after this date and
time will not be accepted. Proposals will be
publicly opened and only names of submit¬
