Design Classes — Do-it
yourself homeowners will
learn how to measure, plan
and design your personal
low-maintenance landscape
in this six-week class which

Green Thumb).
• Self-Defense Hapkido
Classes — Adult Hapkido is
a Korean Martial Art which
incorporates Judo, Jujitsu
and Tae Kwon Do into its
structure of attack and

• Personal Protection and
Safety Classes — These
classes will teach how to be
more prepared, more alert

to fend off and attacker and

School P.E. This Physical
Education class is designed
to further develop motor
skills, coordination and
physical fitness levels

• Toddlers and Preschool
P.E. — Toddlers and
preschoolers will experience
games, rhythm, music and

sions are $38 and instructor

• Low-Impact Aerobics,

Home Heating Help
Available
... for the low income,
elderly and disabled. Low
income elderly (every house¬
hold member must be age 65
and older) and totally home
bound people can apply for
help paying their home heat¬
ing bills beginning Nov. 1.
The Georgia Department of
Human Resources will help
pay heating costs for gas,
electricity, wood, coal or
kerosene. One-time pay¬
ments will be made primarily
by checks issued to home
energy suppliers on behalf of
eligible households.
Eligibility for the program is
based on the income of all
members of the household.
All eligible households must
be responsible for their home
heating costs.
When applying for assis¬
tance, persons must present
age verification and written
proof of income for all
household members. This
can be a paycheck stub, pub¬
lic assistance check or unem¬
ployment check. Applicants
must also supply a docu-

mented Social Security num¬
ber for each person in the
household and a most recent
home heating bill.
Depending on availability
of funds, the regular program
will open to the general pub¬
