Enforcement Academy

course that meets from 7-10
p.m. on consecutive Mondays.
The academy is open to all
Forsyth County residents,
employees and business owners
and provides students with
hands-on training and law
enforcement knowledge. The
course is run by the Forsyth
County Sheriff’s Office, and all
instructors in this program are
Forsyth County Sheriff's Office
employees. Applications for
2008 classes are being accepted

meals at The Place of Forsyth
County
... The Place provides a
weekly Wednesday noon day
meal and a monthly senior
luncheon in Forsyth County.
Because these are troubled
times and so many depend on
these resources, they need your
help. The luncheons supple¬
ment their surplus and food
pantry. Their objective is to
ensure that no one in our com¬
munity goes hungry. The Place
needs caring groups to provide
the food, serve and clean the

AARP driver safety class
... a one-day class is being

1400. AARP members may
bring a spouse, friend, neighbor
or family member for just $10, a
savings of 50 percent (Bring

registering). This is a refresher
course on driving laws, safe
driving strategies, minimizing
distractions and so forth. The
course is open to AARP and
non-AARP members of all ages.
Participants completing the
eight-hours of training receive a
certificate for a potential auto
insurance discount. The course
must be renewed every three
