The Forsyth County Board of
Commissioners will accept sealed bids
until 10:30 a.m., June 26, 2008 for the fol¬
lowing:
In general, providing all equipment, mate¬
rials, and labor for the installation of
upgrades necessary to improve the treat¬
ment processes to allow the plant to be
permitted for a cold weather discharge.
The upgrades include but are not limited
to installation of an air diffuser system,
aeration blowers, chemical pump and
storage equipment, UV modules, plan
effluent piping, VFD at influent pump sta¬
tion, plant resuse pump station, and belt
press cover.
Substantial Completion to be met within
150 calendar days of issuance of Notice
to Proceed, with Final Completion
required within 210 calendar days.
Notice to Proceed will not be issued until
Georgia EPD has approved the plans and
specifications for this project. Bidders
shall be required to hold pricing for a mini¬
mum of 6 months from Bid Date. Upon
award by the Forsyth County Board of
Commissioner's, some equipment may be
ordered if approved by the County in writ
mg.
No bids will be received or accepted from
any contractor who has not purchased
plans from the Forsyth County Purchasing
Department. All bidders must be licensed
in Georgia, maintain a full time office in
Georgia and have a registered agent in
Georgia.
Copies of the bidding documents and
plans may be obtained on or after May 28,
2008 at the office of Forsyth County
Purchasing Department, 118 Castleberry
Road, Suite 13, Cumming, GA 30040
(770) 770 888 8872. The non-refundable
cost for the plans is $35.00 per set; if
plans are to be mailed Bidder is responsi¬
ble for shipping charges.
The envelopes containing the Bids must
be sealed, addressed to Forsyth County
Board of Commissioners, Georgia, and
delivered to Forsyth County Purchasing Suite
Department, 118 Castleberry Road
13, Cumming, GA 30040 by 10:30 a.m.,
June 26, 2008. No bids will be accepted
after that date and time. Bid envelopes
must state the following in the lower left
hand corner: Bid #08-57-3340 , the com¬
contractor's pany name license submitting the bid, and the
number.
Bid Bonds must be in the amount of not
less than 5% of the base bid and must be
submitted with each bid and a Consent of
Surety form from a surety company
licensed to conduct business in the State
of Georgia. Failure to supply bonds or to
sign the bid will be grounds for rejection.
The successful bidder shall provide 1 00%
performance and payment bonds at the
signing of the contract along with appro¬
priate insurance certificates.
Bids, in the case of corporations not char¬
tered in Georgia, must be accompanied
by proper certificate evidencing that such
corporation is authorized to do business
in the State of Georgia. In addition, the
contractor must be licensed by the State
of Georgia.
No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 90
days after the actual date of opening,
thereof.
Bids will be opened at County 2:00 p.m June 26,
2008 in the Forsyth Purchasing
Department, Cumming, 118 GA Castleberry Road, Suite
113, 30040. Award of pro¬
posal/bid will be made at a later date. The
Board of Commissioners reserves the
right to reject any or all bids. Bidders and

Forsyth County is soliciting forms qualifications
from qualified to provide
Construction Management-at-Risk ser¬
vices in the construction of a proposed
new Detention Center to be located in
Forsyth County, Georgia. Firms are
required to submit detailed qualifications
in regards to similar type projects.
Qualification Statements will be received
until 10:30 a.m. local time Thursday, June
26, 2008 at the Forsyth County
Purchasing Road, Suite Department, Cumming, 118 Castleberry
13, GA 30040.
Any statement received after this date
and time will not be accepted. Statements
will be publicly opened and only names of
submitting firms will be read aloud at
10:30 a.m. June 26, 2008.
Qualification specifications can be
obtained by contacting the Forsyth
County Purchasing Department, 118
Castleberry Road, Suite 13, Cumming,
Georgia (770 888 8872) and MUST BE
RETURNED to the same office prior to
the above deadline. Specifications are
available for pick up from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00
p.m., Monday through Friday.
The County reserves the right to not
accept any contractor or to seek other
contractors as it determines to be in its
best interests.
Successful Contractor will be required to
provide Insurance Certificate showing
Forsyth County as additional insured, and
evidence of Bonding Capacity.
Contractors and the general public are
invited to attend the reading. Award of
project will be made at a later date. The
Board of Commissioners reserves the
