no outlet for all these
great stories. 1 said,
'Well, I can write a book
or a show.' So, 1 wrote a
show.”
In that show, “Hank
and My Honky Tonk
Heroes,” Petty again stars
as the late musician.

the conference was a great
learning experience.
"I felt like I wanted to
get the experience of see¬
ing what really goes on in
the media world, so 1 can
better understand it,” said
Higgins, a junior.
West Forsyth senior
Laura Ilardi said she heard
about the program in her
English class.
"I’ve always been inter¬
ested in writing and media,
and I thought this was a
great opportunity to get
some insight.” Ilardi said.
Katie Kuhlhorst was
drawn by her interest in
broadcast journalism.
