noon that damaged a home
near Gumming.
Forsyth County Fire
Capt. Jason Shivers said
the cause and origin of the
lire, which appeared to be
accidental, remain under
investigation.
The blaze occurred about
1:45 p.m. at 406 Mountain
Brook Road, in a subdivi¬
sion off Bettis Tribble Ciap
Road.

Wreck one
of two Friday

An 80-year-old man has died
after a two-vehicle wreck on
Bald Ridge Marina Road,
authorities said.
The collision was one of two
Friday morning on busy roads
near Cumming that sent people
to the hospital.
A third wreck, which
occurred just across Lake Lanier
in Hall County, disrupted the
commute on Browns Brown
Ridge, a major traffic artery.
According to a Forsyth County
Sheriff’s report, the collision at
Bald Ridge Marina and Turner
roads occurred about 11:30 a.m.

According to the report, Orris
failed to yield after stopping at a
