Yarn Interpretive Center highlight the rich history
of this Victorian resort town, as well as the rugged
terrain and fragiie ecosystem of the area. An
award-winning film takes viewers on a dramatic
journey through the gorge, including footage of
rock climbers and kayakers. A gift shop offers
snacks, jewelry, toys, books, walking sticks, cloth
ing and more.

Brasstown Bald
Beautiful Brasstown Bald, rising 4,784 feet
above sea level, is Georgia’s highest mountain. On
clear day’s, the spectacular 360-degree view from
atop the mountain allows visitors to sec four
states: Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and
South Carolina. The surrounding area is home to
a wide variety of plants and animals. The Visitor
Information Center, located on the summit of the
Bald, offers exhibits, video presentations and
interpretive programs. The areas around the
mountain provide a range of biking, hiking and
walking trials. Brasstown Bald is just a short drive
from the northeast Georgia mountain towns of
Hiawassee, Young Harris and Blairsville.

Georgia Mountains Fair
Amid the lush backdrop of beautiful Hiawassee
in the North Georgia Mountains, the Georgia
Mountain Fair annually offers old-time family
fun. This year, the fair runs from June 20-29. It
features a juried am and crafts show’ with numer¬
ous artist demonstrations and exhibitions, as well

Dillard House
Located near the
North Carolina border,
