Funeral director seeks coroner post
Primary likely will decide contest

A third candidate has joined
the race for Forsyth County
coroner.
Mark Musselwhite will vie
with Mary Beth Pais and
Harold "Hal" Bennett, all ol
whom arc Republicans, for
the position in the July 31 pri
man.
The contest will more than
likely decide the next coroner,
as no Democrats qualified to
run
The incumbent coroner.

father reportedly
threatened a lifeguard
who had asked his
child to leave.The
child had reportedly
broken pool rules sev¬
eral times.
Bad dream — A resi¬
dent of Crested Moss
Drive reported some¬
one had shot his
house on May 27
Upon further investi¬
gation, deputies deter¬
mined the shot had
been fired from a
neighboring home,
where a 39-year-old
woman said she had
been having a night¬
mare. The woman was
cited with discharging
a firearm under the
influence of alcohol.

incident May 23 on

division. The woman
said a man passed her
son driving on the left.
He then stopped and
got out of his car at a
stop sign and began
yelling. The man
slammed his fist onto
their car, denting it.
