Four hospitalized
following collision
By Jennifer Sami

Four people remain hospitalized fol
lowing a two-vehicle collision Sunday
night in southwest Forsyth,
According to the Forsyth County
Sheriff's Office, the head-on wreck
occurred about 9 p.m. on Bethelview
Road at Hanover Lane.
Sheriff’s Investigator Ron Tomblin
said Jocelyn Afari, 50, of Cumming
failed to stop the 2007 Mercury Grand
Marquise she was driving at a stop sign.
According to Tomblin, the Marquise
was traveling too fast to make the turn

conditions.
Pope said the technology, which
currently stops at McFarland
Road, will extend past Hwy. 20/
Exit 14 by July 31.
For travelers, that means they
can then access real-time traffic
information, including trip times,
along those 7.7 miles via
Georgia’s 511/Navigator system.
“The technology uses several
types of cameras and sensors to
gather information that is shared
on our Web site,” Pope said.
Marietta-based World Fiber
Technologies is handling the $1.65
million project. Once completed,
motorists can dial 511 from cell
tions carefully — you'll
receive approximately
what you expect.

a 2010 Toyota Rav 4.
The Toyota's driver, a 69-year-old
Roswell woman, and two female passen
gers in their 50s were taken to Northside
Hospital-Forsyth. As of Wednesday, all
three were in stable condition.
Afari, who was traveling alone, was
taken to North Fulton Hospital where she
also was listed as stable.
No charges have been filed and the
wreck remains under investigation.
Tomblin did note, however, that alcohol
