A man suspected of shooting two
people at a residence last month has
been indicted on sepa-
rate domestic violence
charges.

He reportedly made an assault upon
a woman with a knife on Jan. 7 while
there was a minor present, the report
said.
* The woman is the same victim in
the May 30 shooting, in which
Lofland is accused of fleeing the
scene after injuring her and another
male at a home on Darla Avenue,
which connects 14th and 15th streets

investigation. Charges will depend
on the outcome of the investiga
tion.
Buford Dam Road was partially
blocked while emergency crews
worked the scene.

Martha Gibson
Martha Gibson, age 81, of Cumming,
beloved mother and wife, was called to
her eternal resting place Monday, June
13, 2016.
She entered this world on March 3,
1935 in Harrisburg, Pa., born to the late
Thomas and Ellen Rodgers.
She is proceeded in death by her hus
band Forrest Gibson.
She is survived by her sister,
Frederica Lehr of Downingtown, Pa.;
daughters, Dawn Lewis of Cumming,

e Approved a change order from Kevin Price Construction to modify
the engineering lab at Piney Grove Middle School for $119,397, which
will be funded locally through a 2014 voter-approved bond referen
dum.The open workspace will look similar to the lab at DeSana
Middle School.
* Adopted dates for 2017 high school graduation, which include
Forsyth Central High at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 27 at the Cumming
Fairgrounds, North and West Forsyth high schools at 2 and 7 p.m. on
Tuesday, May 30 at the Infinite Energy Arena and South Forsyth and
Lambert high schools at 2 and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31 at the
Infinite Energy Arena.

Patricia A. Robertson
Patricia A. Robertson, of Cumming,
formerly of Hampstead Md., passed
away Wednesday, June 15, 2016.
She was born in Baltimore, Md., on
Sept. 21, 1935 to the late Robert
Thornton Brown and Nona Brown.
Patricia was a 1954 graduate of Eastern
High School and married the late
Weldon A. Robertson on Feb. 28, 1960,
they were married for 51 years until his
death in 2011. She had worked in real
estate and insurance sales. Patricia was a
former member of Kirkridge
Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by son, William L.
Robertson; daughter-in-law, Gretta C.
Robertson; grandchildren, Noah,
Zachary, and Abigail Robertson; sisters,
Ellen Monahan, and Elizabeth Wiegand;
and several nieces.
