for reaching 25 years of service with the county.

the addition of a new partner.
Eric Tatum has been chosen as a
partner for Banks, Stubbs and
McFarland, LLP, at 309 Pirkle Ferry
Road, Building F.
Tatum will lead the domestic side of
the firm, with his primary practice
focusing on family law litigation. He
also has experience in criminal
defense litigation, personal injury liti
gation and will and estate preparation.
He is a graduate of Presbyterian

Faye Millwood Holman
Faye Millwood Holman, age 85, of
Buford, passed away on Thursday, Feb.
15, 2018. She was preceded in death by
her husband of fifty years, Roy Lee
Holman; and son, Kim Holman.
She is survived by her daughters,
Judy Holman Munday, Buford, Cheryl
Cooper, Braselton; daughter-in-law,
Debbie Blount Holman, Buford; grand
children, Blake and Adrian Holman,
Hoschton, Brian Holman, Buford,
Kami Holman, Buford, Andy and
Dominique Munday, Lawrenceville,
Julie and Chad Farmer, Buford, Jeremy
and Jennifer Rider, San Diego, Calif.,
and Crystal Cooper, Braselton; great
grandchildren, Ana Holman, Eve
Holman, Ceci Steele, Jordan Munday,
Monroe. Munday, Mable Munday,
Alyssa Johnson, Hunter Knox,
Cameron Farmer, Wesley Farmer, and
Haleigh Farmer; sisters, Marceile Grier
Roper, Dawsonville, Pat and Harold
Reid, Cumming; brother-in-law, Hugh
Hammond, Cumming; sister-in-law,
Pam Millwood, Greenback, Tenn.;
brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerry
and Barbara Holman, Tellico Plains,
Tenn.; and several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Mrs. Holman was born Dec. 27, 1932
in Gainesville, Ga. She was a 1949
graduate of Chattahoochee High
School in Cumming, and she was a
retired school bus driver and driver
trainer for Gwinnett County Public
School System with over 30 years of
service. She was a member of Ivy
Creek Baptist Church in Buford, and a
member of the senior adult Sunday
School Class at Ivy Creek. Mrs.
Holman in her early years of life
worked for Bona Allen Harness Shop
and also worked with saddles that Roy
Rogers purchased. Funeral services
will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb.
18, 2018 in the Chapel of Flanigan
Funeral Home with Pastors Kenneth
and Lorrie O’Neal and Dr. Craig Dale
officiating. A graveside service will
follow at Broadlawn Memorial
Gardens in Buford with the Rev. Ted
Williams officiating.
The family received friends from 3-8
p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 and
from 11 a.m. until the hour of service
on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018 at the funeral
home. Flowers will be accepted or
memorial donations may be made to
Ivy Creek Baptist Church in Buford or
to Eagle Ranch in Flowery Branch in
memory of Faye Holman.

Charlie R. and Mary Elizabeth Payne;
grandson, Kaleb Payne; four brothers
and seven sisters. :
He is survived by his loving wife of
66 years, Wansley Pruitt Payne; chil
dren, the Rev. Carter and Martha
Payne, Kenneth and Vivian Payne,
Carolyn and David Parks, the Rev.
Barry and Rita Payne, and Marcus and
Deborah Payne; nine grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren; and many other
loving friends and relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Payne were
held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018
in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home
in Cumming, with the Revs. Danny
Ray Martin and Carter Payne officiat
ing. Interment followed at Sawnee
View Memorial Gardens. The family
received friends at the funeral home at
1-9 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m.
until the hour of service on Saturday.
