Three juniors from Lambert High
School are making it their mission to
promote awareness and raise funds
aimed at discouraging drinking and
driving. _
Meg Dpollack, Felicia Ling and
Lauren Webb have organized a drive
in movie screening of “Captain
America: Civil War,” at Lambert High
School’s student parking lot 5 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 24.
They’ll be selling tickets at the
event, the proceeds of which will go to
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (or,
MADD).
They undertook the endeavor
because their friend, Eliza Farrell, 15,
was killed in an auto accident July 4,
2017. The driver who reportedly ran a
stop sign in Dawsonville and caused
the wreck was later arrested for driv
ing under the influence.

INCIDENT REPORTS, FROM FCSO
Man enters store, chugs ener
gy drink, leaves without paying
On Feb. 11, a deputy responded to
the BP gas station at 5430 Bannister
Road in reference to a shoplifting call.
Upon arriving, the deputy met with a
sales associate, who described an
alleged shoplifting incident from earli
er in the day involving a can of
Monster Energy.
The alleged perpetrator was said to
have “loitered in the area of the drink
coolers after asking the clerk about
alcohol sales. According to the TepoTrTt;
he then deposited an empty energy
drink can in the store’s trash. The clerk
believed he drank it in the store with
out paying for it. .
According to the report, the
responding deputy “located in the
trash can an empty Monster Energy
Ultra Blue 16 oz. beverage can. The
can was opened, empty and was cool
to the touch still, showing condensa
tion.”
The man was described as having
brown hair, a black jacket and blue
jeans. He was shorter with an average
build, the report stated.
