Forsyth County employee
arrested for alleged DUI

A Forsyth County Public Facilities
maintenance worker has been arrested
for allegedly driving under the influence
of drugs following a traffic incident on
Ga. 400.
‘According an incident report by the
Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Ronnie
Shane Anglin, a 37-year-old from
Dawsonville, was arrested on Feb. 28
after a red Toyota Tundra traveling
southbound down Ga. 400, allegedly left
the road, struck a street sign and a
power pole, causing the power pole to
catch fire.
In the report, Deputy Jones states that,
the driver of the Tundra was identified
as Anglin, who was “stumbling around

Jones said in the report
that at the time of his
arrest Anglin admitted
that he was prescribed
several different kinds of
medications including
Adderall, Subutex and
'xa‘n“x.’"""“"""”.H"-'V\/W)r !
Anglin was charged
with driving under the influence of
drugs, driving too fast for conditions
and failure to maintain lane and was
subsequently arrested. He has since
been released from the Forsyth County
Jail on a $2,770 bond.
. According to Pat Carson, Director of
Forsyth County Personnel Services,
Anglin’s employment with the county
was terminated the day after his arrest.

Woman sentenced for
2015 Walmart robbery

This week the United States District
Court for the Northern District of
Georgia handed down sentencing for
an Atlanta woman who was responsi
ble for a series of robberies that target
ed businesses across five counties for
two years. ,
" According to a press release by the
United States Department of Justice,
Kesia Quinette Jackson, 46, of
Atlanta has been sentenced to more
than 21 years in prison and ordered to
pay a restitution of $62,315.95.
The release said that Jackson, the
“organizer of the robberies” and oth
ers, “committed 11 armed robberies
throughout the metro-Atlanta area.”
According to court documents,
Jackson pleaded guilty to her charges
in 2016.
‘Among the 11 armed robberies
Jackson was charged with, is the 2015
robbery of a Forsyth County Walmart
at 2395 Peachtree Parkway.

spree,” said U.S. Attorney Byung Pak
in the release. ¢
“Jackson and her crew calculated
their robberies and helped drive vio
lence and fear in multiple counties.
The defendant’s conviction and
lengthy sentence resulted from the
collaboration of multiple federal and
local law enforcement agencies deter
mined to apprehend and aggressively
prosecute every member of this rob
bery crew,” he said.
Jackson was captured on surveil
lance video prior to the robberies
while she talked on her cell phone
and cased the locations.
According to the Department of
Justice press release, these incidents
were conducted by the FBI, with
assistance from the Cobb County,
DeKalb County, Gwinnett County,
Hapeville, Roswell, Riverdale and
Dunwoody police departments, and
the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
