By Order of the H use , BROWNSOx, Speaker. AuguJU , February 1, 17S8. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Ihe KIL AG AL4J P_ S. (Concluded from No. LXX.) I HAD fallen into a deep revery, frofc which the ringing of a large bell touted me. All the company was again atfcmbledg and a gentleman of a most graceful and elt* gant appearance, pronounced a short fpcccb upon Covetousness. His voice was melodi« ous, and his yefturt and manner of speaking irrefirtibly pleating To this succeeded a few pieces of the grand est fnufic I had ever heard, and closed tht# delightful feene. During the tfcai Palangeis time, two in cidents particularly eicired my curiosity, Aneldeily gentleman, who had fat reading, as if inattentive to every thing befitfes hie book, role suddenly, and, crofting the Con valuon, presented his book open to a lady, who resembled arose in full bloom. Hev beauties were not faded, but in the moment of beginning to approach a fading state. But ;his appealed to be the eftetf of grief ratbef than of time. She looked earnestly, for a few minutes, in to the book, and then putting two of htt fingers near the top of a page, as if pointing, ai some particular paflage, (he returned it to th# gentleman, alking him, at I thought from hat looks, to re fomeihing. The gentleman bowed affentingly, ?ud retiring to a table, Teemed to transcribe something from the boob on a half (heet of paper, which he folded up. and presented to the Belplaiftaire I. The aftlitfed lady opened the paper, anj read it; then folding it up in a manner thaft shewed some other objed engrotled bet thoughts, her hands fell together upon hag lap, and her eyes swam in tears.
