applied to me for letters of admi
nistration on theeftate r and effefts' ofJeffe
Barnett, deceased : These are therefore
to cite and admonifti all and Angular the
kindred and creditors of the said deceas
ed, to be and appear before me at my
Office, on the iftdayof December next,
to (hew cause, if any they have, why
letters of administration lhould not be
granted.

On Monday the Axft day of December next,
will be fold at the premises, on a cre
dit of two months, for the paper money
of this state, all the personal property
ofCapt. James Wood, deceased,
C'tQNSITSING of a House in Augnfta,
j which the purchaser will have to
move ; a horse, a chest of carpenters tools, *
and a few other articles. The sale will
be between the hours of ten and twelve in
the forenoon, and approved security will
be required. As the sale is intended to
provide for the payment of the debts, the
Adraiuiftrator once more requests thofo
having demands to make them known,
properly attested; and hopes those indebt
ed will pay their refpeftive dues.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS several Resolutions o f
the General AiTembiy passed the
thirtieth and tbirty-firft days*of
January last, wherein the Executive are
empowered to convene the Members i»o
- minated by the said Resolutions, at Au
gusta, “ asfoon as may be, after official
“ information is received that nine states
** have adopted the Federal Coufiitution
AND WHEREAS official information is
received from the Congress of the Uuit
ed States, dated the thirteenth day of Sep*
umber last, notifying that the fame is
adopted, and directed proceedings to
commence thereon ; I HAVE THERE
FORE, agreeably to the said Resolutions,
and with the advice and consent of the
Honorable the Executive Council, thought
fit to ififue this my Proclamation, requir
ing the persons lo nominated and appoint
ed, to convene in Augujla on Tuefday , the
Fourth day of November next; then and
there “ to proceed to take under their
“ consideration the alterations and amend
“ ments that are neceflary to be made'
“ in the Couftitution of this State.”
