The AMERICAN MILITIA. ** art excites, nor martial music’s XAI charms, The foldicr’s foul to deeds of glory warms, Nor hostile arms emblaze the pompful plain, Nor guards their naked front the brazen train, Untutor’d thefc in war’s experienc’d school, By nature brave and unoblig’d by rule, Their fable arms est botne in fields of chafe, In hostile port their manly (boulders grace, Their martial hands the lleely tomax wield.
