Agreeable to a Resolve of the General As
sembly, five thousand pounds of the paper
medium of this state were last Tuefday morn
ing publicly burnt before Mr, Fox’s house, in
this town.
A letter from a gentleman in New-York,
contains the following paragraph : “ This ci
ty is erefting a most splendid edifice for the
reception of the new Congress; they expefl
it will cost them ten or twelve thousand
pounds—the design is great, and their indu
stry in its accomplishment aftioniihing.”
