WHEREAS the Honorable the Houle of A'fieinbly in the last SefTion held at Augusta, en tered into the following pro ceedings and resolutions: WEDNESDAY, the 41b February , 1789. “ WHEREAS purfuaht to Resolutions of ft* the,General Aflembly, pafTed »he thirtieth “ and thirty-firft days of January, onethou “ sand seven hundred and eighty-eight, a “ number of citizens were nominated and ** did convene at Augusta on the fourth’ day “ of November last, For the purpose of revif f< ing and amending the Conftittnion of this ** Rate, and ditfthen and there proceed and “ agree to Fuch alterations and amendments “ thereof as they concluded would be molt u expedient; which revision of the said con “ ftitution or plan of government of thisftate “ was tranftnitted to the different counties “ for the perusal and conlideration of the “ citizens thereof, who were then recom “ mended to choose three citizens of each “ county, to meet at Augttfta on the fourth ** day of January last, for the foie purpose of ** adopting or rejeding the said proposed con* ftitution or plan of government.
