Our “new public building” still hangs on the ragged edge but will get there just the same, even if we do have to wait, tingle Sam is slow but sure. As previously stated in the Tribune, the Secretary of tho Treasury has approved the report of the Special Agent sent out to look alter a suitable location of a site for the building, and has referred the matter to the Attorney General as to the power of the Government to con demn the property, corner Bull and South Broad streets, which has been recommended by the Agent but which was considered objectionable on account of the exhorbitant price asked for it. It is probably a new question to be decided and the law officer of the government may not decide the matter for several months, and possibly the whole ques tion may be sent back to the law mak ing power which is Congress.
