The usual celebration of the Fif teenth Amendment which takes place on the 19th May of each year has been postponed by the Military to the 11th. of June. The Bapti-ts wi'l be celebrat ing their centennial at that time and •he city will be filled with thousands of strangers who will be pleased to see “the soldier boys” on parade. It is ex pected that several visiting companies will join in the parade, making it one of the “gran lest colored demon strations that has ever takenplace. Brunswick Ga. is rapidly improving in every way. Business seems to be brisk and many new homes h ive been recently built and others are in course of construction. Among the enterpris ing and energetic busines-' peopl- are Messrs. Carr and Tattnali’corr e- Albany and London streets, who run a first-class grocery and general merchandise store, and the old reliable W P Golden who keeps a first-class bnardin" house, saloon and restaurant on Oglethorpe and J/ans field streets. The new line of street cars run by the business places of these popular gentlemen. The Tribune office was greeted on Wednesday last with the presence of that charming young lady Miss E. L. Hare of Charleston S. C, acc> mnani'd by Miss Raven Garey and Mr. A. L, LaFayette. Our reporter showed our friends through the establishment and the young ladies expressed themselves delighted with the way the “art preser. vative” is managed. Miss Hare will leave for Charleston on Sunday, much to the regret of her many friends in this city. Lewis Mizzel a prominent barber of this, city departed this life on Monday last and was buried on Tuesday followed to his last resting place by his many friends. He was originally from Bir mingham Ala., and was a resident of this city about eight years. Mr. Mizzel was about 39 years of age, and leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss. * The Eknowledgy Club which was organized April 12th elected the follow ing officers to serve the term of one vear, viz : J E Great - President, Wm.
