should be informed by their parents
that unruly conduct on the streets will
be promptly reported by their teachers

Rumor has it that a seismetic distur
bance occured in this vicinity on Mon
day night last about 11 o’clock. Many
persons felt the shock and was greatly
disturbed. It lasted though, but a few
seconds, and was not repeated.

the habit of congregating on Sundays

Harais street, and behaving in such a

bearable, They play hili, cards, and
indulge in profane language th it comes

services were interrupted on Sunday

I roughs, and the attention of Mayor L<-s
I ter has been called to the matter. Com
plaint has been frequently made >o the
police authorities, but in vain. While
some of the police endeavor to bre<k up
the gang others pay little attention t>
them. It is a disgrace to our city t-at
such thing exists. The que-ttou

rowdyism in the vicinity ol a place of
worship. The church officers will uot
