This is Margie’s Man Friday

I live here in town and I’m

Some may not like my mess

all of you are full of baloney.
December 15 was a happy
birthday to my good friend
Margie. He is always killing
himself with joy and has made
friends from Boston, Mass., to
the crowded city of Richmond,
Calif. Since being a good
friend of the jivemaster, I have
noted that he is somewhat dif
ferent in his own style. Mar¬
gie admires all members of the
fairer sex and is crazy about
loud red ties. His main habit
is biting his finger nails. Up
thru the years he has proven
to be a fine columnist an^ ver
satile artist. Recently he re¬
fused offers, in those fields,
from John A. Burton of Holly¬
wood, Calif., and Jay McShann,
a name orchestra leader. Mar
gie titled Savannah the "Won-
der City.” Dancing and tel- j
jokes are his facorite past 1

time. He claims that Inez Butj
ler of Washington, D. C., and J
Rosemary Jones of Savh.’ are!
two of the finest members of ]
the fairer sex that he has ever
met. He often tells of the
good times that he spent in the
yesteryears with Bernice Lov-
ette and Elizabeth Rakestraw.
I am sure that greater Savan j
nah will join me in wishing
yours truly Michael ‘‘Margie’’
Graham a happy birthday.
