ties—Cpl. Harold I. D. Lambert,
son of Mr. Charlie T. Lambeit,
of McIntosh, Ga., recently com¬
pleted thirty-two months over¬
seas duty. He is serving with
the 76th Antiarcraft Artillery
Gun Battalion, as truck driver.
Cpl. Lambert was inducted on
February 24, 1941 and received
his basic training at Fort Bragg,
N. C. After additional train¬
ing on the South Carolina ma¬
neuvers, he departed for for¬
eign service in August 1942.
He is entitled to wear the
Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Medal
with Bronze Star attached to
denote participation in the
Northern Solomons Campaign.
Cpl. Lambert has recently been
promoted to his present rank
and has been awarded the Mo¬
tor Vehicle Drivers Badge.
Cpl. Lambert is a former em¬
ployee of the Townsend Band
Mills Company where he was a
dry kiln operator.
He attended Dorchester
