The Rev. L. H Bright, who on
September 26 resigned the pas¬
torate of Beaulah Baptist
church, the resignaion tak'ng
effect on October 6. Rev.
Bright served the Beaulah con¬
gregation as pastor for 24 1
months, and in 18 months of
his pastorate he liquidated a
big standing indebtedness with
the exception of $85.00. Under
h s leadersh p the church in¬
stalled new pews and made
other improvements. At pres¬
ent the church has more than
$30C in the treasury.

BAPTIST CHURCH
Zion fifth Sunday meeting
was held at Second Mt. Pleas¬
ant Baptist church, Septem¬
ber 27-29. Three superb ser¬
mons were preached by Rever¬
ends A. C. Tolbert, Wm. Frair-
son and L. Larry. An excellent
program was rendered by the
young people of Mt. Pleasant
church, sponsored by Mrs. E.
W. Mack The collection totaled
$108 50. Rev. P. J. Famble is,
president, Rev. J. H. Martin,
vice president, and Mrs. E. W
Mack, reporter.
