and brilliant leadership of Dr.
Gilbert, not only First African
Baptist church, but the entire
city of Savannah has made its
mo’t significant and greatest
expansion in spiritual influence
and material well being. i

work in Savannah and through
out the State of Georgia and
the .First African Baptist
church is extending an invita-
tion to all Savannah to be with
them in this great celebration.
The work of Dr. Gilbert is seen
in evefy worthwhile project
that has been put forth in the
interest of our people, and we
feel that he ; due this much
respect and honor out of the
ones that he has worked so

lain. Rev. C. P. Hobbs.
Rev. L- W- Walker, pastor of
the Portal AIVJE circuit, was a
visitor at the session and gave
a fine message on the urban
church and his work in h ! j-,
community. He spoke encour¬
agingly over the crops and the
people i 1 general in the Portal
section. He was made welcome
by the president and members
of the union.
H. Gainer, a repressentative
of the Hub organization, was a

and member., to do what they

continue to register and thank¬
