SANDFLY TIGERS TO
PLAY CHARLOTTE
TIGERS
On the local sports program
for next week are several top-
notch bamball games, all to be
played at Sportsman’s park
On Sunday afternoon tho
Sandfly Tigers, fast local ag-
gregation, will meet the Char-
lotto, N. C., Tigers in a game
which should prove a thriller,
as the North Carolinians are
orm of the best semi-pro teams
in the Tarheel state, and have
iost but feur games this sea-
son, while the local team is
regarded by many to be tops in
Savannah.
Wednesday and Thursday,
September will be night 22-23, affairs tjre and games
bring to Savannah the Cleve-
land. Ohio, Buckeyes and the
Atlanta Black Crackers, two of
the best k -own teams in semi-
professional circles.
This will be Cleveland’s first
visit to Savannah, but the
Black Crackers are wdl known,
hereabouts, where they have
played several times this sea-
son-

This idea was born in the
mind of Mrs. Josephine A.
Brinson, president, Savannah
PTA. Willis Brown was
appointed to confer with heads

agreed to furnish and equip a
building for this purpose. Mrs.
Brown, and Mrs. Brinson can-
vassed the community, locating
possibly 25 children of kind'-r-
i garten age. The schcol will be
taught by Miss Lillian A Miller,
who taught the Brownsville
Kindergarten for two years.
There Will be an open houose
at 4 p. m., Sunday. Sept. 26, to
