Methodist church held its 9th
annual convention at Keeny’s
Memorial church, West Point,
Ga., August 18-20.
On Wednesday evening a
brief executive meet ng was
held, followed by a program at
which Miss Potts was mistress
of ceremonies. Addresses of
welcome were rendered in oe-
half of the Baptist anil Meth¬
odist churches of the ciyt, to
which Mrs. Amanda Smith, the
conference promotional secre¬
tary, responded. Another high¬
light of the evening was the
address by the conference pres-
Jent, Mrs. A H Holmes, in
which she stressed the mean¬
ing of the theme, “That thy
way be made known upon the
earth.” Miss Grace Hatcher
followed with a solo that charm¬
ed the audience. The program
was in charge of Miss Pruitt,
president of the local society.
Mrs. A. Smith conducted the
morning worship.
Thursday morning Rev. W.
H Brown, pastor at Warren
Temple, LaGrange, Ga-, brought
the morning meditation, and
the Lord's supper was adminy-
istered to an appreciative
group, led by Rev E W. Gra¬
ham, superintendent of the
Columbus district, assisted by
Rev. L. W. Wilson, the host
pastor; Rev. W. H. Brown and
Rev. L. Titus.
Timely seminars were con¬
ducted by Mrs. A- E- Brown,
Mrs. A. H. Holmes and Mrs. A
Smith. Visitors introduced,
