Mrs. Mallard Swears
Out Warrants Against
Alleged Murderers
Of Her Husband

solution to the mob killing of

the widow of the slain man
went from here to Lyons, Ga.,
and in the dii(;y court house
of that town ninety miles from
| here, swore out a warrant for
one of the men whom she rec¬
ognized in the mob which slew
I her husband a little before
midnight on November 20 as
the Mallard party was enroute
to their home at Lyons from
a box party at the school where
Mi s. Mallard had been a teach¬
er for a number of years!

Moriah Lodge No. 15, F. and A-
M. celebrated its 72nd anniver¬
sary. A large number of the
brothers was present with many
of the Eastern Star members.
Worshipful Master S. L. Gib-
bons presided. Mr. D Thomas
was master of ceremonies. The
address was made by
Mr. S. A. Jones. The music
was rendered by Mt. Moriah
Chapter, O. E. S The feature

Since the Negro vote in Pet¬
rine is larger than that of the
white, 316 to 2(8, snavis beyond

addressed a GOP audience on

party.
