will go into federal district
court on October 25 as a de¬
aidant to a charge t.iat it has
practiced racial cl scrimination
in the provision and operation
of recreational facilit es, it was
learned h re last week. Plain¬
tiffs in the case are two Ne¬
groes who are asking court ac¬
tion to secure equal recreation¬
al fac lities for N gro residents.
Attorney W. Hale Thompson,
representing the plaintiffs, told
the court that one count in th"
suit against the city had been
satisfied, but that the second
had not. The “satisfied” count
referred to a new recreational
building for Negroes whicn
vas opened rec ntly.
Thompson pointed out that
the plaintiffs are still pressing
the r claim for more park and
recreational facilities.
